Cruising behind a chinese woman...

I am sure every other driver in US(male or female) would have followed a chinese woman driving a mini-van or a sedan on the left most lane for atleast a quater mile before they get impatient, step on the gas and overtake her from the right. If you have not done it so far, you have missed something in your life. I urge you to experience that feeling of rage as early as possible. You can see them driving as if "erumai maattu mela mazhai penja madhiri". Least concerned about the vehicles coming behind them and completely oblivious to the cars overtaking them from the right. Many times I feel like rolling down the window and give her the "you know what"..
I have nothing personal against chinese women. Every time I get into a situation where I see a slow car or a mini-van on the freeway on the left lane, I overtake it to find that it is a chinese woman driving it. This has happened 98% of the time and the rest 2% by a 70+ year old american grandmother. All I have to say to them is, there are 2 more lanes to their right, which they are free to use which will make many drivers a little less stressful while driving..
Happy driving..

Indian Politics...

It was very disheartening to read that Intel has chosen Arizona to build its new 300mm fab. A month back, Intel was very close to sealing a deal to build this plant in India. But Indian politicians have once again proved their idiosyncratic behaviour and Intel was smart enough not to give in to their demands. As a gesture of slap in the Indian politician faces, Intel announced today that it is building its fab in Arizona due to its recent tax incentive measures. It was rumoured that Intel was demanded huge sums of money as bribe by Indian politicians to allow them to build this plant in India. They have once again proved the deep-rooted corruption in the Indian political system and even MNCs like Intel are not immune to it.
Its pathetic to see how these politicians have stabbed in the back of thousands of Indian engineers who could have otherwise been employed by this semi-conductor giant.
God only can save those aspiring engineers graduating in thousands out of Indian Engineering colleges...

What to write about?

Every time I sit down to blog, I try to rehearse the lines that I want to publish to the world. I carefully choose the words to make sure that I convey exactly what I want to say. Nothing more and nothing less. I make sure that there is no room to read between my lines. Of late I have been going through a lot of blogs and I realize that maybe, just maybe I have been too picky with my words and have not let any room for people to extrapolate my thinking. I may also have constricted my thoughts for the lack of some words.
After going through a few of very thoughtful and entertaining blogs, I have decided that I should open up my words and vision and express beyond just my thought and let readers really enjoy the content and leave some room for some entertatining thoughts and comments. A few blogs that inspired me are the following:
http://pravunplugged.blogspot.com
http://constantramblings.blogspot.com
(I hope the content owners do not mind linking their sites here). There are thousand other such down-to-earth blogs out there. I thought I would create a style of blogging that is very unique to me. But I find that I end up compromising a lot of thoughts that I would like to share.
From now on I am going to try and express exactly what I feel and not morph it with some words to make it look polished. Its going to be raw and uncut. Hopefully it comes out well.
